Merry Christmas and Happy New Year  to all.

Present: Cindy Whitmore, Heather Nichols, Arlene Davis, Kathy Gill.

Absent; Paul Gehrig, Nicole Curry.

Guest: Julie Lanphear.

Public Comments: The Library received some beautiful Christmas cards from patrons.

The wild center passes are still going out on the weekends. The Library offers CARE KITS, for people that need them. This project is made possible with grant funding from the Northern New York Community Foundation and Northern New York Library Network.

These Care Kits will include a backpack or bag, drawstring backpack, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, wipes, nail clippers, comb, shampoo, soap, tissues, a basic first aid kit, chap stick, razor, shaving cream, hand sanitizer, deodorant, tampon, pad, and laundry detergent.

Also included:  cold weather items: socks, a hat, gloves, neck warmer, and hand warmers. What a wonderful package to receive as well as very helpful.

The Library is holding our own, the E-books and e-audio-books are still moving quite well. The children’s books are taken out also. The winter is slow because not that many citizens are in the area. The Director, Heather is working finding the Library Insurance for our books and contents. She is communicating with Tanya LaShome on the Library’s behalf.
