Clifton community Library

                                     Board of Trustees Minutes

                                                   03/28/2023

Present: President Cindy Whitmore, Director: Heather Nichols, Trustees, Kathy Gill, 

 Arlene Davis,  Sandy Griffith, Julie Lanphear.

Absent: Paul Gehrig, Nicole Curry, 

Public Comments:  Clifton-Fine Hospital would like a farmers market set up on site.

Friends of the Library Comments: none.

Old Business Correspondence: none.

Approval of minutes: Motion to approve as read: Arlene, Second Kat.

Pandemic Response: no updates at this time

Financial Report: no questions doing fine.

Directors Report: Lots of new goodies, table quilts, tennis rackets, badminton supplies, also lawn croquet that you can, use .story-walk frames hoping the Community Improvement Project Committee hoping they would give the Library a grant to buy them.

Data Report: 232 visited the Library. Clifton patrons have used ArtistWorks, Law Depot, Libby, and Universal Classes.

Five Year Plan Update: It’s just a guide for us .

Art Update: We are hoping the children’s art work can be hung at the Library for all to see.

New Business: curtains: we talked about obtaining new green ones, (tabled till next meeting)

Weather Policy: If a situation arises concerning a possible emergency closing and the

 Staff member is unable to inform the Library Director, the staff member must attempt

 to arrange coverage, if appropriate. In case the Library must be closed due to the emergency, the staff member shall notify the President of the Board of Trustees of the closure. 

Many thanks to Sandy and Bill for the little free library book house. It’s wonderful, Sandy, the bookmarks were a great idea.
