Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that state-wide businesses and venues will need to have a mask requirement or require proof of full vaccination starting Monday, December 13. You can read more about this announcement here.

The Clifton Community Library currently requires that all customers stay masked inside the library. Thank you for your patience and support.

Curbside pick up is still available at the Clifton Community Library and at Coffee Fever in Star Lake. Customers will be contacted directly when their books are available for pick up.

The Library now has Playaways! These are pre-loaded audiobooks that you can plug Free head phones into and listen on the go. An auxiliary cord is also provided for traveling by car. No more worrying about changing discs anymore! The titles now available are:

You can now access a new online resource, Weiss Financial Ratings. This resource has everything you need to create and improve a financial plan at any stage in life.
The button to access it is now on nclsweb.org.  After entering your library card number & your PIN (last 4 digits of your phone number) go to the bottom, right side of your North Country Library System screen on the online resources and click on the Weiss web site. You can also access this resource directly from our homepage under Quick Links.
You can look up the ratings for your bank, insurance company, stocks and mutual funds, and even look up medigap information. We suggest watching the Niche Academy video here: https://my.nicheacademy.com/ncls/course/4830/lesson/11274  for this resource to get started with what it can do.  Explore, Investigate & Enjoy!

Starting Colmbus Day, October 11, the Library will be closed Mondays for the Winter and be open only one hour during Wednesday evenings. We will resume our Summer hours Memorial Day, the 30th. Winter hours will be:
Sundays-Mondays: Closed
Tuesday-Friday: 10:00-2:00
Saturday: 10:00-1:00
Wednesday Evening 6:00-8:00

The last StoryWalk® of the season is up! Please check out “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” by Paul Galdone out behind the library. There is a sign in sheet and Binary Bracelet Grab and Go Kits for kids.

There is also a new raffle in the library! Every time you visit the library take a free chance on a “CHEF’S DELIGHT” Basket! Gourmet foods, candies, sauces, & much, much more!

There is now a book club at the Clifton Community Library! The next meeting is Monday, August 2 at 7:00 pm and will be in the Clifton Community Center Pavilion out behind the Community Center. This book is “Resistance Women” by Jennifer Chiaverini. You can request this book here from the NCLS catalog!

Starting June 1st we will be open more hours! Our new hours will be:
Mondays 10:00-2:00 pm
Tuesdays 10:00-2:00 pm
Wednesdays 10:00-2:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm
Thursdays 10:00-2:00 pm
Fridays 10:00-2:00 pm
Saturdays 10:00-1:00 pm

We are still making appointment times for customers to come in and browse. As long as we are not budy with customers we will also be available for drop ins.
