Public Comment:

Friends Report:
Marilyn says we’re getting quite a lot of books donated, and the Friends have gotten a few new members.

The school sent a letter regarding yearbook ads this year. We will get a quarter page ad.

Minutes of the previous meeting were approved: Motion by Don, seconded by Cindy.

Chief Financial Officer’s report was accepted: Motion by Don, seconded by Nicole.
Nancy says that going forward Kate will need to create vouchers when making payments. Ths is to protect her and is also the appropriate way to do things in municipalities. Trustees will sign off on the vouchers at meetings.

Report of the Library Director was accepted.

Old Business
New shelves are on hold due to high estimated cost (over $20,000). Parts of our existing shelves are broken, however, and this problem will need to be addressed.

Cindy made a motion to not have Adirondack Experience (Blue Mt. Lake museum) passes next year, since they cost $75 and only went out twice. Motion seconded by Nicole.
We’ll see if we can get a third Wild Center pass next year. They offered us three this year but we only took two.
Construction Update: Herbie Snyder said don’t do anything with building permit until we start the process in earnest; we need to secure a grant first before applying for a permit.
John Dragun will put the new sign up next week. He has already been paid for it in full.
Volunteer appreciation event has been moved to November 9 th at 2pm.

New Business
We will purchase Amazon Prime with Damoth money. We are often charged extra shipping costs when our Amazon orders are split into multiple shipments, so this will help with that.
We will provide hot cocoa and a story at the Legion’s Christmas event.
WiFi at Newton Falls Firehall is being used, but we don’t have statistics yet. The grant Kate won for this will run out next May.
The back of the town clerk’s office is now an empty space, and Karen said we could possibly use part of it.

Next monthly meeting: Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 6:00 pm in the Library.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:51 pm. Motion by Don, seconded by Nicole.
