1. The Library Board of Trustees encourages individuals and groups to volunteer their time and efforts in service to the Library. Further, the Board acknowledges the need to provide for appropriate recognition of those who volunteer their time and efforts, or who donate materials.
  2. Annual recognition shall be given based on the number of hours of service. This may include, but is not limited to, a listing of volunteer names in a newspaper release, a certificate of appreciation, and/or the addition of a book to the collection in each volunteers name.
  3. Friends of the Library group is a formal association of people who unite to plan and execute programs and events to benefit the library, in conjunction with library goals and needs. Friends groups always serve at the pleasure of the Library Board, which is the only body with legal authority to set policy for the development of the Library.
